Creative Generation Excellence Awards in Visual Art

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​The Creative Generation Excellence Awards in Visual Art recognise and promote excellence in senior visual art education throughout Queensland state and non-state schools.

Since 1990, the program has helped raise community awareness of the degree of sophistication in concepts, diversity of technical competence, and the high standard of visual art education in Queensland secondary schools.​

​​View the digital exhibition featuring all eligible 2023 submissions​. The 2023 excellence winning works will be displayed at the Gallery of Modern Art from Saturday 27 April to Sunday 25 August 2024.

Nominations for the 2024 program will open in early–​mid 2024. More information is available on the submissions page​.

In Reside​nce​​

In Reside​​nce provides Year 10 Queensland visual art students with the opportunity to strengthen their understanding of the academic, experimental, collaborative and reflective nature of contemporary​ visual art and gain an appreciation for the breadth of opportunities in the creative industries.

Nominations for In Resid​ence 2023​ ​have closed. Nominations for the 2024 program will open in mid to late 2024.
