Mackay manufacturer Key Solutions Group has been awarded $500,000 through the Queensland Government’s Manufacturing Hubs Grant Program (MHGP).

Key Solutions Group (KSG) is a well-known and major service provider to the region’s critical mining and agriculture sectors.

This funding boost will purchase and install two Motoman AR1440 series welding robots, Power-Trac seam finders/trackers and rotary screw compressors, allowing KSG to expand manufacturing capacity and grow the business.

Not only is this new equipment expected to reduce KSG’s production costs and generate private sector investment, but it will also allow them to create up to eight new jobs and upskill 28 current employees.

The MHGP is just one of the ways the Queensland Government is backing the state’s invaluable manufacturers and support programs, growing the industry and its workforce, and boosting local economies.
