Queensland Government delivers cost-of-living savings
Many of the Queensland Government’s $11.2 billion nation-leading cost-of-living relief measures in the 2024–25 State Budget have come into effect and are supporting Queenslanders.
They include $1000 in electricity bill support for Queensland households in addition to the $300 electricity rebate provided by the Federal Government.
Eligible concession holders will continue to receive an additional $372 under the Queensland Electricity Rebate Scheme and small businesses will receive a rebate of $650 this financial year.
Vehicle registration fees are being reduced by 20 per cent for a 12-month period, and 50-cent fares across Translink’s public transport network supports Redlands commuters.
