Queensland rollout and eligibility — COVID-19 vaccine

- All people aged 5 and over are now eligible for a COVID-19 vaccine
- Visit the Vaccine clinic finder and answer some questions to find your closest vaccination clinic
- You need two doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. You can receive a booster dose 3 months after your second dose if eligible.
Eligibility by vaccine type
Pfizer (Comirnaty) COVID-19 vaccine
- All people aged 5 years and over
Moderna (Spikevax) COVID-19 vaccine
- All people aged 6 years and over
Novavax (Nuvaxovid) COVID-19 vaccine
- All people aged 18 years and over
AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria) COVID-19 vaccine
- People aged 60 years and over
- Any person over the age of 18 who has:
- had a first dose of AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria), without any serious adverse events
- made an informed decision based on an understanding of the risks and benefits.
Who is not yet eligible for a COVID-19 vaccine
- Children under 5 years of age
Who is eligible for a booster dose
Anyone aged 16 years and over who has already completed their primary COVID-19 vaccine course 3 or more months ago is able to receive a booster dose.
Where to get vaccinated
You can book an appointment online or make an appointment via the Vaccine clinic finder to receive their COVID-19 vaccine at an approved General Practice (GP), GP-led respiratory clinic, Aboriginal Controlled Community Health Service, or a participating community pharmacy.
