Adis provides 24-hour, 7 day a week support for anyone concerned about their own or somebody else’s alcohol and other drugs use. It’s free, anonymous and confidential.

Adis offers telephone and online counselling and can help you find a local treatment service that meets your needs. There is also a self-assessment quiz you can take to find out more about your alcohol and other drugs use and the associated harms.

Family Drug Support

Families impacted by the problematic alcohol and other drugs use of a family member can get support from Family Drug Support. It offers support meetings and can help families find information about alcohol or other drugs use.

You can call their support line 24 hours, 7 days a week to talk with a volunteer and find support.

Adis support for family and friends

Adis 24/7 Alcohol and Drug Support offers a safe, anonymous and confidential space for you to talk about your concerns for loved ones. It also provides information about support and treatment options.

Breakthrough for Families

Breakthrough for Families provides information and support for families and significant others of individuals affected by methamphetamine and other drugs.

Families across the state who are impacted by alcohol and other drugs use can access free individual or group support including information, strategies to keep themselves and their families safe, and advice about treatment and other support services.

In some locations, families are also able to access community forums and workshops to gain information and learn strategies and next steps.

Ready to quit smoking but need help along the way?  Quit HQ is a Queensland Government initiative to help people quit smoking. It has resources and support to help you prepare a plan and give yourself the best chance of quitting. You can also get help from Quitline. Quitline is a telephone service dedicated to helping Queenslanders quit smoking.
