Check if a blue card is valid
A person must have a valid blue or exemption card to work with children or work in a child-related environment.
You can use this online tool to check the validity of their card in real time. It is a good idea to check their card details against another form of ID at the same time.
Using this tool only provides confirmation of a card holder’s status at the time the validity check is completed.
If this person is employed by you, volunteering for you, or starting a student placement with you, it is essential that you link this card holder to your organisation before they start work. No Card. No Link. No Start.
You can link a card holder using the Organisation Portal or by submitting a linking form. Once linked, you will then be notified of any change to a card holders’ status.
All card holders are monitored daily by the Queensland Police Service. Because of this, we update our system regularly, which may sometimes cause a short interruption in accessing this tool.
