Queensland Youth Week 2024 Digital Art Competition

As part of Queensland Youth Week 2024, the Queensland Office for Youth announced the launch of a Digital Art Competition which aimed to celebrate the creativity and talent of young Queenslanders but also to highlight the significant social and economic contributions they bring to our state.

The competition was judged by a panel of young Queenslanders with entries judged based on their creativity, originality, and how well the artwork spoke to young people! Thank you to all the young artists of Queensland who participated in the Queensland Youth Week 2024 Digital Art Competition.

After sifting through many incredible submissions that showcased the talent, creativity, and spirit of young Queenslanders, one artwork truly stood above the rest to our panel of young judges. We are pleased to announce the winner is the wonderful young Queenslander, Sophie van Essen, for her artwork, “Here, have a popsicle!”.

Sophie has not only won an Apple iPad and Apple Pencil to support her continued artistic development and professional growth, but also the honour of having her artwork featured in promoting next year's Queensland Youth Week!!
